She taught me how to take the subway.
The time we spent together was wonderful. She taught me much about life, and helped me learn how to discern right and wrong better. I remember, in the last program, I forgot to bring an umbrella and it was raining. When I was going home the rain was quite heavy. My mentor only had one umbrella, but to prevent me from getting wet, she held the umbrella such that most of it was over me. When I saw what she was doing, I forgot about the rain. I even forgot about the wind blowing on my face. My heart was as warm as a fireplace in the winter. Outside of my family, only she would treat me so well. This has taught me another kind of warmth. Later on, my mentor took me to take the bus, but we couldn’t find the bus station even after asking many people. So, after a while, my mentor said, "Let’s take the subway!"
Yes, we took the subway that day. That was the first time I took the subway in my life. Under the station, there were many signs, and in that place, she taught me how to take the subway. She taught me sentence by sentence, explaining once and again. And I listened carefully. Although she was repeating herself like my mother, but I did not found it bothersome at all.
Every time I breathe, time flies away. The time I have with her is also flying. All of this would become memories soon, beautiful memories, unforgettable memories.
